How to burn tokens on BNB Chain
BNB Chain burns follow the same rule as every other chain: you send tokens to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, an address nobody holds the keys to, and the receipt is public forever. Same console, same single signature — the fee is just paid in BNB.
Why burn on BNB Chain
BNB Chain carries an enormous retail audience and three-second blocks, so a burn lands while the chat is still talking about it. Cheap gas turns burning from a once-a-year announcement into a rhythm your holders can set their watch by: weekly buyback burns, fee revenue burned on schedule, milestone burns the day the milestone lands.
The reason it works is not the burn — it is the receipt. Every BNB Chain burn you run through Hood Incinerator produces a BscScan link and a supply number anyone can recompute for themselves. Promises get discounted; verifiable arithmetic does not.
One difference on BNB Chain: paste the contract
BNB Chain is the one supported network without a public, keyless explorer API, so Hood Incinerator cannot auto-list the tokens sitting in your wallet the way it does elsewhere. You paste the BEP-20 contract address instead, and the app reads name, symbol, decimals, your balance and total supply directly from the contract over RPC.
Nothing else changes. Pre-flight simulation, one-signature batching, reorg-safe confirmations, the burn receipt and the ready-to-post X draft all behave exactly as they do on Robinhood Chain.
There is only one $0XdEaD — and it is on Robinhood Chain
Hood Incinerator burns on BNB Chain, Ethereum, Base, Ink and Robinhood Chain, but the $0XdEaD token itself is native to Robinhood Chain only, at contract address 0xBAE9346CB6c12df12114c9edfbAC00E3543A2Ef9.
There is no bridged version, no BNB Chain deployment and no official wrapper. If you find a "$0XdEaD" contract on BNB Chain, it is an impostor — check the address above before you buy anything. Burning on BNB Chain is fully supported; the $0XdEaD multiplier and Incinerator Points simply stay on Robinhood Chain where the token lives.
Burning on BNB Chain, step by step
1. Switch the network to BNB Chain
Use the network switcher in the header. Hood Incinerator asks your wallet to move to BNB Smart Chain (chain id 56) and re-checks the network right before you sign.
2. Paste the token contract
Enter the BEP-20 address. The app verifies it is a real token contract and shows your balance before you commit to an amount. You can queue up to five items into one bundle.
3. Read the pre-flight checks
The dialog simulates the transfer on BNB Chain and reports balance, approval status, likely revert reasons, estimated gas in BNB, and the app fee — all before any signature.
4. Sign once
Batch-capable wallets bundle the transfer and the 0.0004 BNB fee into a single approval. Wallets without batching fall back to the stable two-step flow.
What a BNB Chain burn costs
| Item | Amount | Paid to |
|---|---|---|
| Network gas | BNB Chain rate (BNB) | BNB Chain validators |
| App fee | 0.0004 BNB | Hood Incinerator |
| Cut of your tokens | 0% | Nobody — no custody |
Frequently asked questions
- How do I burn tokens on BNB Chain?
- Open Hood Incinerator, switch the network selector to BNB Chain, connect your wallet, paste the BEP-20 contract you want to burn, set an amount and sign once. The tokens move to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD and the flat app fee rides along in the same batched call.
- What does a BNB Chain burn cost?
- BNB Chain gas — typically a few cents — plus the flat 0.0004 BNB Hood Incinerator app fee. The fee is paid in BNB because BNB is the chain's native gas token. We never take a percentage of the tokens you burn and never hold them.
- Why do I have to paste the contract address on BNB Chain?
- BNB Chain has no public, keyless Blockscout API, so the app cannot list your wallet's BEP-20 balances the way it does on Robinhood Chain, Base, Ink and Ethereum. Everything else is identical: paste the contract and the name, symbol, decimals, your balance and total supply are read straight from the contract over RPC.
- Is there a $0XdEaD token on BNB Chain?
- No. There is exactly one $0XdEaD token and it lives on Robinhood Chain at 0xBAE9346CB6c12df12114c9edfbAC00E3543A2Ef9. Anything calling itself $0XdEaD on BNB Chain is an impostor. Burning on BNB Chain works fully — it simply does not involve the $0XdEaD token or its points multiplier.
- How do holders verify a BNB Chain burn?
- Every burn is a public Transfer event to the dead address. The confirmation screen hands you the BscScan transaction link and the recalculated circulating supply, ready to post, once the burn is buried under enough confirmations to be reorg-safe.
