How to burn tokens on Base
Base burns work exactly like Robinhood Chain burns: you send tokens to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD, an address nobody holds the keys to, and the receipt is public forever. Same console, same single signature, cheap L2 gas.
Why burn on Base
Base is where a lot of communities already live, and cheap gas means a burn costs less than the coffee you drank while planning it. That changes the rhythm: instead of one dramatic annual burn, you can run a visible, repeatable programme — weekly buybacks burned in public, fee revenue burned on schedule, milestones burned the day they land.
Credibility comes from repetition plus receipts. Every Base burn you run through Arc Incinerator produces a BaseScan link and a supply number your holders can recompute themselves, which is a far stronger claim than a roadmap slide.
Official token: $ABURN is live
Arc Incinerator runs on Arc, Base, Ink, BNB Chain, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain. The official token contract is 0x676bE0ca09e177Cb7fE64f3f616B03E8b4B3Aa5c on Arc, trading on Argus.
Treat any other contract claiming to be official as an impostor. Burning assets on Base remains fully supported.
Burning on Base, step by step
1. Switch the network to Base
Use the network switcher in the header. Arc Incinerator asks your wallet to move to Base (chain id 8453) and re-checks the network again right before you sign.
2. Pick the token or NFT
Select from your detected Base balances or paste a contract address. You can queue up to five items — several tokens, several NFTs, or a mix — into one bundle.
3. Read the pre-flight checks
The dialog simulates the burn on Base and reports balance, approval status, likely revert reasons, estimated gas in ETH, and the app fee — before any signature.
4. Sign once
Batch-capable wallets bundle the transfer and the 0.00004 ETH fee into a single approval. Wallets without batching fall back to the stable one-item flow.
What a Base burn costs

|---|---|---|
| Network gas | Base L2 rate (ETH) | Base sequencer |
| App fee | 0.00004 ETH | Arc Incinerator |
| Cut of your tokens | 0% | Nobody — no custody |
Frequently asked questions
- How do I burn tokens on Base?
- Open Arc Incinerator, switch the network selector to Base, connect your wallet, pick the ERC-20 or NFT you hold, set an amount and sign once. The tokens go to 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD and the flat app fee is paid in the same batched call.
- What does a Base burn cost?
- Base network gas — usually cents — plus the flat 0.00004 ETH Arc Incinerator app fee. No percentage of your tokens, and no contract of ours ever holds them.
- Is the official Arc Incinerator token live on Base?
- No. The official Arc Incinerator token is $ABURN, live on Arc at the contract shown above. Any token claiming to be official on Base is not ours.
- Can I burn Base NFTs?
- Yes. ERC-721 and ERC-1155 collectibles on Base burn through the NFT tab using the same one-signature flow, and the transfer to the dead address is visible on BaseScan immediately.
- How do holders verify a Base burn?
- Every burn is a public Transfer event to the dead address. The confirmation screen gives you the transaction link and the updated supply, ready to post, and the burn appears on the Base leaderboard inside the app.
